Program Flavor Tabs Dog & Cat Flea Control
Program Flavor Tabs contain lufenuron, an insect development inhibitor that prevents the development of immature stages of the flea.
The most common of the canine parasites, fleas create problems for both pets and humans because they multiply so quickly. The fleas on your dog are in the adult stage. An adult female flea, living on a pet, can lay up to 2,000 eggs in her lifetime. But Program Flavor Tabs prevent flea eggs and larvae from developing. This breaks the flea life cycle at its base, and effectively wipes out the flea population.
Not for human use. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.
To ensure adequate absorption, always administer Program Flavor Tabs to dogs immediately after or in conjunction with a normal meal.
One tablet monthly, given with a meal for dogs & puppies 21-45 lbs and cats & kittens 7-15 lbs.
Be certain the dog consumes the entire tablet. As an alternative to direct dosing, tablets may be offered in food. Watch the dog closely following dosing to be sure the entire dose has been consumed. If it is not entirely consumed, redose once with the full recommended dose as soon as possible. Treatment may begin at anytime of the year. In areas where flea infestations are seasonal, the treatment schedule should begin several weeks prior to the expected onset of infestations. Treatments should continue until the end of the flea season. If there is risk of exposure to fleas year round, then treatment should continue the entire year without interruption. Ask your veterinarian for details concerning your geographical area and the most effective treatment schedule for your pet.
As an insect development inhibitor, Program Tabs do not kill adult fleas but effectively and safely control flea populations on your pet by breaking the flea life cycle at the egg stage.
Safe for dogs, cat puppies and kittens over 4 weeks of age.
To speed control, products that kill adult fleas may be used temporarily with Program Tabs.
It is important to treat all dogs and cats in the household. Use Program Tabs appropriate for each dog and cat's weight, sold separately.
Program Tabs must be administered monthly, preferably on the same date of each month.
